Journal of post-Axiomatic Mathematics and Logic (JPAML)

This journal was founded 7 Jul 2005 year. There are no official articles yet, but there are some unofficial drafts.

Topic

The topic of this mathematical journal is post-axiomatic mathematics as defined in this document (rough draft).

Currently the topic includes:

Development of post-axiomatic mathematics and of related software.
Post-axiomatic formalizations of different mathematical theories.
Axiomatic Theory of Formulas and other foundations of mathematics which are directly related with post-axiomatic mathematics.
Theory of mathematical definitions.
Formal theories which could consider abstract mathematics as object oriented modeling (in the case if these theories are directly useful for development of abstract mathematics).
Philosophy directly related with post-axiomatic mathematics (need to have some formal background).
Pedagogical issues related with post-axiomatic mathematics.
Propaganda of using and teaching formal post-axiomatic and definitional methods and object oriented technologies in mathematics in scientific, academic, and University circles.

Publication and Format

Currently the journal is published only on this Web site. File format of publication is not yet stabilized, so for now different articles may be in different formats.

In the future as post-axiomatic mathematics will be formalized and suitable software tools created, the journal is planned to be transformed into an electronic database of formalized mathematical knowledge. (In this rough draft document is described the formalistic on which the database is planned to be based.)

XSLT stylesheets for mathematics to replace LaTeX are under development. Hopefully in the future we will switch to this XML format.

This journal is not official. Publications in this journal may be not counted by scientific societies.

Category of Endomorphisms and Pseudomorphisms. Victor Porton. 2005. (MathML) - Research of certain categories whose objects are endomorphisms of a given (pre)category. This is important for the theory of expressions.
Axiomatic Theory of Formulas. Victor Porton. 2005. (MathML) (This draft will be probably never published, as it may be superseded with a new series of a more abstract formulas theory articles.)

Some other articles (rough drafts) in preparation:

Theory of Systems of Constructs (category of ternary relations). Victor Porton. 2005. (MathML, rough draft, there are mistakes) - Research of certain categories related with relations of three variables. These categories are important for theory of formulas.
