• Development of post-axiomatic mathematics (defined as mathematics which: 1. does not use axiomatic method; 2. is not disordered pre-axiomatic mathematics) and of related software.
• Post-axiomatic methods in mathematics / formal logic, such as so called 21 Century Math Method^TM (21MM^TM).
• Axiomatic Theory of Formulas and other foundations of mathematics which are directly related with post-axiomatic mathematics.
• Pedagogical issues related with post axiomatic mathematics.
• Automatic theorem provers and other symbolic algebra software which uses non-axiomatic methods of automated reasoning (deduction), but only at such the extent as discussion of this software is related with development and application of post axiomatic mathematics.
• Theory of mathematical definitions.
• Object oriented structure of abstract mathematics, mathematics as object oriented modeling (not object oriented (math) software!)
• Creation and managing the (future) Journal of post-Axiomatic Mathematics and Logic.
• Web sites directly related to post-axiomatic and definitional mathematics and logic.
• Propaganda of using and teaching formal post-axiomatic and definitional methods and object oriented technologies in mathematics in scientific, academic, and University circles.

• Posts must be appropriate accordingly the common sense about posts in a newsgroup of the above mentioned topic.
• Posts must be not much offending.
• Posts must be not repeated (at least often).
• Posts must be not unreasonably big. Attachments and HTML in messages are very discouraged.
• These rules are subordinate to the opinion of Victor Porton, who has the right to modify these rules at any time.

The Reason of Creation of This Newsgroup

As the mathematical knowledge progressed there appeared clear need of development of post-axiomatic 21 century mathematics. This new mathematics is rather clearly distinguished from older mathematics (like as 20 century axiomatic mathematics was clearly distinguished from pre-axiomatic mathematics of the time before 20 century).

Currently research in post axiomatic mathematics uses from the rest of mathematics only some foundations of former axiomatic mathematics and is little related with the rest of mathematics and mathematical research. So messing post axiomatic mathematics with the rest of mathematics and logic is only harmful for information classification. I mean that post-axiomatic mathematics needs new special classification categories.

The above mentioned clear separation of post-axiomatic mathematics makes meaningless intermixing traditional math messages (as found in sci.math, sci.math.research, alt.math, sci.logic etc. newsgroups) with research in the topic of post-axiomatic mathematics. Additionally, the above mentioned newsgroups are overloaded with too many undesirable messages about misc specialized issues, questions, and problems (including even beginning school problems) and often repeated the same questions. To be free from clutter of these messages the need for new specialized post-axiomatic newsgroup is evident.

The motto of creation of this newsgroup: As post-axiomatic mathematics is separate from older mathematics, its newsgroups should also be separate.

Just a forum would be clearly not enough, because post-axiomatic mathematics is a so big and important topic which is likely to evolve even into full replacement of current mathematics. This clearly needs a newsgroup.
